Season 4

For MADE HERE’s final episode, we asked artists what advice they would give to performing artists just starting their career. While the answers varied greatly from artist to artist, there was one consistent theme: no matter what medium you work in, make sure you are passionate about what you do.

Being an artist

What is the most valuable piece of advice you’ve been given about being an artist?

don’t go-it-alone.  even if you work ‘alone’ - don’t do the “work of the work” alone.  have supportive friends that you trust who know how to be “in your camp” and ask them for help, be grateful for their help.  art is about reciprocity of that “love-connection” mama and Don’tYouForgetIt.
